John Hadjisavvas FCCA - Audit Partner

Qualified at the age of 24, John trained with a Central London firm of Chartered Accountants. During his ten years with the firm he trained in various disciplines to include accountancy and auditing, taxation and business planning. As a senior manager he was responsible for some of the firm's highest profile clients which included a number of well known media and entertainment clients.

His knowledge of computerised accounting systems and business planning enables him to offer clients the support they require in the use of their accounting systems which has enabled them to develop and grow their businesses.

A recent example of this was the formation and ultimate sale of a medical recruitment company within a three year time span. This involved the set up and maintenance of an onsite accounting system/records, subsequent negotiations and appointment of a factoring company, business planning and forecasting, negotiating with potential buyers/interested parties, assisting with negotiations of sale/purchase agreement resulting in a successful disposal.

Maria Kazela FCCA - Tax Partner

Trained and qualified with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Central London. Having qualified in December 86, Maria decided to pursue a career in tax and joined Deloitte and Touche, London Tax department in early 87, where she spent six years dealing with a large and varied number of clients, varying from owner managed businesses to large PLC companies and wealthy individuals. She was a manager in one of the mainstream mixed tax groups and thus gained experience in both personal and corporate tax.

Maria has a real passion for tax and is always in pursuit of excellence. Described by a number of clients as a breath of fresh air, she is a diligent and lateral thinker with exceptional all round tax technical expertise. She will exhaust all options for clients and continually improve the service they receive. Over the years, she has dealt with clients of all shapes and sizes and has demonstrated the ability to deal with the most unusual and difficult situations.

In addition to being responsible for organising and dealing with all tax compliance work, she also deals with the more difficult HM Revenue and Customs enquiries, Employer compliance disputes and VAT inspections. She has a proven track record of dealing with such matters, with some outstanding results and minimum disruption to the clients concerned.

She also deals with all tax planning issues. She has considerable experience in advising private companies and their shareholders on exit routes, emigration and minimising their tax liabilities, often working very closely with the client's legal advisers.
